Snapshot
We've seen medium size agencies and clients face difficulties executing web and mobile projects. It's hard to find experienced, inexpensive, and reliable resources when you need them -- without going broke trying to keep them. It's even worse when your larger competitors can draw on worldwide resources that enable them to deal with pricing pressures better than the smaller guy (ie) you.
Tango Modem was built to build. To execute medium to large scale web and mobile applications in partnership with motivated, innovative and creative agencies and clients. Our model is simple. We scope work with our client partners in the U.S. and then we execute the work at Apernet's main offices in Buenos Aires.
Apernet pioneered web development for global clients in Latin America with a large emphasis on the bigger markets of Mexico and Argentina. Apernet has combined strategic marketing, creativity and technology skills to build their business in Latin America. For the U.S. market these skills are a prerequisite. More importantly our lower labor cost structure and open source platform approach enable us to deliver great work for less. Which helps you make more. It's as simple as that.
More About GM and Bob and Apernet
G.M. O'Connell and Bob Allen were founding partners as well as the CEO and COO at Modem Media* from 1987 to 2004. Modem Media was the first online marketing agency and became quite successful working as Interactive Agency of Record with Fortune 50 clients. The firm established offices in 8 global business centers, had over 1,200 employees and did one of the few successful long term public equity offerings in its category, yadayadayada. Bottom-line, we know the interactive agency business and we know how to run a business.
With over 60 specialists, Apernet forms the production heart of Tango Modem. Founded in 1999, Apernet pioneered web development for global clients in Latin America with a large emphasis on the bigger markets of Mexico and Argentina. Led by Matias Mosse, Andres Biscione and Fernando Diaz, the firm combined strategic marketing, creativity and technology skills to build their business in Latin America with clients including Bayer, Coca Cola, P&G, HSBC, Grey and BBDO.
Argentina's cultural similarity to the U.S., extremely low labor rates and compatible time zone (one hour ahead of New York) makes it an ideal offshore digital production location for U.S. agencies and marketers looking to lower development costs.
*TangoModem has no relationship with the company that ultimately bought Modem Media, Publicis. Publicis Modem, as our former firm is now called, is still a terrific company and you should consider them if you are looking for a global interactive agency.
